How awesome coming across all those cultural and genre fusions and cooperations! So let’s check our neighbours from Germany, Ogrom Circus, Czech-Irish-Scottish Sounds of Occupation, or singles by the Brno gang, Aeronaut or British-Slovak duo, Craggy Collyde, folk-rock from Olomouc, Hope Astronaut, Prague-based American legend, Geoff Tyson, only to take the road towards the Safe Escape. Music is borderless, isn’t it?!

Summer basket full of pop. Beach time. Forrest hideouts. Chill at the lakes. You can finally enjoy the silence of nature or accompany your thoughts (or work if being those unlucky ones) with the sounds of some of the Czech and Slovak “pop” bands. We call it “un-boxing”... and present you the bands which have chosen “pop” to describe their genre and destroy the borders of labelling. Get heated up by Jay Delver, fusion of pop, funk and jazz from Brno or Lady Praga, jazz pop band from Prague. Cool down with a smooth dream pop from Veseli nad Moravou, a band called Billow. Rock it with the alternative pop Tryo from Blansko. Contemplate with the urban folk, Kaspar Melichar from Prague or Ado Juráček from Bratislava so that you can then dive into the Brno heroes, Acute Dose or the real and only pop band on this playlist, Lamram Jam. Spring’s here. Or Autumn down under. Happy Mutants are crawling out of their holes and bringing you their tasty choice of their bands. Happy Mutant started in 2016 in Znojmo, CR. Their aim is to connect artists, do gigs, promote interesting music and get their one out there. They’re now presenting you the indie trio from Brno, Ette Enaka, which released their debut last year and thanks to Full Moon played at Colours of Ostrava, Mara Jade and their new album which was created in cooperation with Ondrej Jezek in Jamor studio, well-known New zealand-Czech gang, Metronome Blues, and amazing, noisy, melodic, punk and emo Rutka Laskier, Moravian bros - The Queues, and a bit of noise from the South, Thrashsurf. There are few more Happy Mutant bands, such as almighty Alphones and Ångström for whose music you can look forward next time. Be happy! Be Mutants!

Cro-magnons are back in the cave: FPM Live Session with David Invalid

Cro-Magnons are back.This time they peeked into a special (music) cave, hiding in the secret corner of ex-gun factory, Zbrojovka Brno. David Pšenčík from Acute Dose has gathered together a bunch of exploratory musicians from around the Brno scene to produce this brooding, funereal project, perfect for those long winter nights quaffing down red wine and praying for spring. The thick atmosphere is a left turn, compared to his other work, but retains a solemn beauty and patience that sucks the listener in. So open a bottle and let this wash all your sins away!

Beps’n’Johnnies, new EP and FPM Live Session

Beps’n’Johnnies are entering a new era, releasing their debut EP Screw Loose Girl, which was created as a personal testimony of Bára (Beps) Pokorná, the frontwoman of the band. The EP was recorded end of 2017 in cooperation with the producer Rhys Braddock, the local New Zealander, known from Metronome Blues or Gerda Blank. Beps’n’Johnnies also cooperated with Vaclav Havelka from Please The Trees and Ondrej Novotny (Professor Leopard). Together with their EP, we’re releasing their second FPM Live Session - Sound Of Your Voice.

Thanks to the Czech Music Export Office, Sound-Czech, we had a chance to visit some of the prestigeous music conferences and showcase festivals, Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg (Germany) and Waves Vienna in Vienna (Austria) where we represented and supported the Czech music scene. We've met great people from the music world and will be looking forward to share some of the ideas and news with all the amazing musicians who are part of our Fair Price Music portal. Stay tuned!

This trio from Blansko meld three distinct personalities into a wildly satisfying rock’n’roll whole. Driving riffs cut with soulful PJ-like vocals burn up into waves of feedback and skronky noise — a sound drawing from the past but with both eyes fixed firmly on the future. Some kinda rock’n’roll beast is stirring from the depths of Blansko, and it’s ready to cut loose.

THE ILLS are building a solid reputation as an explosive live band and this session is proof of that. Their wide palate gives them room to move and move they do, twisting and turning, no shouting thank God. They don’t need a pesky voice in the way. From delicate to ferocious, they've all got the chops to pull off the blazingly taut arrangements, even while nursing hangovers apparently. Impressive eh? Go forth and love this band.

Why did we do it and will be doing it?

We accept the fact that everything you find here, might and will be available for “free”, either with or without the musician’s awareness. Though we know (and do it too) that you would buy a drink to your favourite musicians at their gig or a festival, wouldn’t you? Fair Price Music enables you to express your excitement and created a way of supporting your band, just virtually.

At Fair Price Music, bands set their dream-price themselves. We keep just a minimum necessary for the project to exist. We’ve been available for the Czech bands and audience for some time and are working on going internationally.
